On 6th January 21 I had only KES. 500 in my pocket. I went for Kinyozi and after a nice cut called ‘slope’ the money was no more. How they disappeared, I have no idea. I had to sort myself minus this precious cash. When something important is lost, life tends to become disorganized and thoughts of loss grip in. This reminded me of the many get me rich quick schemes i have fallen into and lost lots of money in the recent past. These schemes are dangerous, please don’t try them – grow rich pole pole, you will get there. I have tried for you.
On the same note, the day I lost my mother was one of the toughest days of my life. The reason being that, she was my mum and that her belief in me despite the difficulties we went through in life was unbelievable. I thought she would stay for me to appreciate her efforts and have her enjoy this short life. That was not the case. I have also lost material items, siblings and wonderful friends. Yesterday we lost one of the distinguished authors and artist – Mrs. Hellen Koligey. She was a great friend. We face these on daily basis and these will be so until Christ comes back.
However, there is great hope to cling to even on such moments by seeking to understand what matters most that we need to invest in on daily basis. For the wonderful years I have lived such would include salvation or eternal life in Christ. It is worth investing in this for it is the only security after death. Seek it or build on it with fear and trembling and with this, God will remember you for life. Second is your purpose in this life. Find it, seek it fervently and pursue it every day. Your accomplishment of this is what people will remember you for. These matter most and the rest will fall in place. This constitute the pillars of a life without regrets.
See you next week. Blessings.
