Blessed Women

  • Women in poverty-stricken areas are faced with numerous personal, family, and societal challenges that make them victims of circumstances in varied ways. These Women become burdened and result to taking full load of supporting their families. This if not supported, makes them vulnerable to the extent that they don’t execute their motherly roles and end up being stressed, result to suicide cases, drug abuse, alcoholism and even some to prostitution.
  • To support these women, live dignified lives, AMIA has branded them Blessed Women because they have the potential to become a blessing to their families and community. In order to achieve the Blessedness status, these women will have to be introduced to a raft of measures to assist them support their families and community at large.
  • First, the women will be introduced to Proverbs 31 Woman. This training will take 7 weeks. They will be taught the 10 virtues of the Proverbs 31 Woman accompanied with a prayer guide on the same. There will be actionable areas that they will be required to take during the individual sessions. They will graduate and be given a certificate of attendance.
  • Secondly, they will go through a three-day training course on running a sizeable project within their village. Each of the woman will develop an idea to be funded within USD 100.
  • Thirdly, the women will be introduced to forming a community-based self-help group where they will be meeting weekly to connect with each other, contribute funds towards a kitty and create mindset change towards abundance.
  • To support one woman in the training program, it will cost USD 70.
  • To support one woman to a fund a business idea, it will cost USD 100.
